After working as an ensemble dancer in 1923, I received an invitation to audition for “Shakespeare in Love,” a new musical that would regularly grace the prestigious Zorlu Performance Center, one of Turkey’s largest stages. Despite not having any exceptions once again, I chose to audition. To my delight, I was selected! Out of 80 cast members, I am the youngest dancer among the 12 selected from all over Turkey. The audition process involved a rigorous selection from a pool of 500 dancers.

The musical, based on the famous movie “Shakespeare in Love,” consists of an entire cast of professional dancers and actors. Our rehearsal period spanned three months, with grueling daily rehearsals lasting five hours. The musical’s grand premiere took place on October 4, 2023, and it has emerged as one of the biggest hits in Turkey this year, with shows sold out for the next two months! It is already being considered Turkey’s biggest musical!
