SOCIAL PROJECTS
On December 3rd, I had the privilege of dancing with Barış Bayraktar, an individual with a disability who had become victorious at the European Wheelchair Ballroom Dancing competition two times!
We danced together on World Disability Day at the Besiktas Stadium, one of the most prestigious sports clubs in Turkey.
Initially, I felt nervous and unsure about how to approach Mr. Barış, however, those feelings went away as soon as we began dancing. He was the most incredible dancer and I was in awe of his skill and grace not only on the dance floor but in all aspects of life.
Dancing with him was an amazing experience for me. It opened my eyes to the fact that disability is not a limitation and that people with disabilities can achieve incredible feats if given the opportunity.
